Road & Rail Services is hiring a Power Mechanic in Mulberry, FL, and we're looking for someone who enjoys working independently, thinks on their feet, and has a solid mechanical mindset. This role is all about keeping our equipment running at full power-from trucks and small engines to hydraulic systems and electrical components. You'll inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet and machinery with precision and pride. Whether you're tracking down an electrical issue or cutting and welding as needed, you'll be trusted to do the work with minimal supervision-and maximum impact. You'll spend most of your time outdoors, using your head, your hands, and your grit. If you like variety, take pride in staying one step ahead of equipment failures, and don't mind a little dirt under your nails, this might be your perfect fit.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of experience mechanical repair, or small engine work
- Can diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Have a valid driver's license and can operate company equipment
- Are confident climbing ladders, crouching, and working in outdoor environments
- Can work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Are available for on-call needs and flexible enough for occasional weekend work
- Are comfortable wearing full PPE
