About The Position

NLC's Training Specialists uphold the integrity of our educational methods, curriculum standards, and behavior expectations, ensuring that NLC core values are being met. By acting as a mentor and continually inspiring others to excel and succeed, the individuals who fill this role ensure only "First Choice" students are introduced to all internal and external customers of our industry. ON-SITE POSITION BASED OUT OF YORK, SC FACILITY. MUST RESIDE WITHIN 60-MILE RADIUS OF YORK LOCATION/ RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE. WILL PROVIDE APPRENTICE-LEVEL TRAINING IN YORK AS WELL AS OTHER TRAINING FACILITIES AS NEEDED.30% TRAVEL REQUIRED WITH THIS ROLE $5,000 SIGNING BONUS ISSUED TO NEW HIRES WHO ARE FLUENT IN SPANISH + ADDITIONAL INCENTIVES AVAILABLE FOR SPANISH SPEAKING ASSIGNMENTS In this position you will have the opportunity to: Conduct field and classroom training. Prepare for knowledge and skill delivery each term in a proactive manner. Maintain updated and current knowledge on all programs and catalogs. Identify short falls and provide solutions ensuring the campus is always ready to deliver training. Work with department leadership to identify and resolve areas of improvement and set professional goals. Identify and recommend innovative approaches to training sessions, such as new materials, methodologies, and activities to enhance the learning experience of our students. Behave in a way that encourages and inspires students and co-workers and contributes to a work environment that promotes teamwork and respect. Represent a "What's best for the student?" mindset.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Journeyman lineman (certificate of completion of formalized apprenticeship program required).
Class A CDL or ability to obtain on (may be required at some NLC training locations).
Good driving record (must be insurable).
Passion for training with ability to effectively train others in a classroom and field environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain required NLC certifications (climbing, CPR, First Aid).
Proficiency in all program and course competencies.
Knowledge of and/ or certifications in regulations applying to craft trades (OSHA, NECS, etc.)
Body weight must not exceed 265 pounds to stay compliant with OSHA fall protection requirements.
Personal mobility, manual dexterity, flexibility, and balance to work in a classroom or field setting, stand or sit for extended periods of time, bend and reach to move items weighing up to 65 pounds.
Physically capable of repeatedly performing all job functions associated with their craft.
Stamina to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions and noise.
Proficient in the use of computers with ability to easily learn and navigate new software.

Bilingual in English/ Spanish (oral & written) highly preferred.
