• Possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to teach all areas of Power Line Construction and Maintenance Technology. • Must be proficient in Power Line Basics, industry-accepted Safety Practices, Climbing Wood and Steel Structures, Electrical Theory and Concepts, Electric Utility Operations, Underground Power Line Construction, and Single Phase and Three Phase Transformer Connections. • Provide individualized classroom, lab, and field work instruction to postsecondary and secondary students to prepare them for employment in power line construction and maintenance fields. • Teach students safe and effective practices in: Overhead and underground line construction, climbing wood and steel structures and rigging techniques, equipment operation (bucket truck, digger derrick, etc.), electrical system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Commitment to remain current in the Power Line Construction and Maintenance field and maintain accreditation standards. • Monitor, grade, and evaluate students’ progress and maintain student records. • Assist in the recruitment and placement of students. • Participate in professional development activities. • Maintain good public relations with business and industry and develop and maintain an advisory group comprised of industry personnel for continued program improvement. • Perform other duties as assigned
