About The Position

Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking a Power Generation Engineer to support Poland (WISLA) Patriot depot operation. The Power Generation engineer is responsible for testing, proper operation and repair of the power generation and power frequency converter equipment in support of the Major End Item (MEI) checkout during System Integration and Check-Out (SICO), Technical Assistance, Depot or day-to-day systems Operations. Efforts may include the movement, deployment, and installation of the generator sets and power frequency converters for system equipment. The Power Generation Engineer will interface with manufacturers of power generation and power conversion equipment on an as required basis. The Power Generation Engineer also aids the Support Team during unpacking, inventory, inspection, and support of the repair and check out of the MEIs. Responsible for performing Preventive Maintenance Checks Services (PMCS), troubleshoot and repair of generator that support Patriot systems. Coordinates PMCS and repair execution activities to the Lead. Provides inputs to development of operational reports. Creating a maintenance plan and entering non-conformance into Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Establishes maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, personnel, and unit mission. Establishes internal administrative procedures to procure, store, and issue publications, tools, parts, and POL. Manages maintenance float items to replace equipment not repairable within prescribed time limits. Other duties will include movement of materials and equipment to work locations, work site set up, completion of records, and maintaining accountability of tools and equipment. The Generator Technician must observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing of required personal safety equipment. The selected candidate may be required to travel based on customer and program needs. Candidates for this position will be on a Long-Term International Assignment (LTIA) in, Poland.

Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed a maintenance course of instruction from a recognized technical institute or approved apprenticeship program.
  • Possesses experience at the depot level sustainment and repair procedures of Power generation equipment (15K to 150k diesel generators).
  • Demonstrated experience with the organizational and intermediate electrical troubleshooting techniques of diesel generators.
  • Knowledge of the safe work practices regarding operation and sustainment of electrical power generation equipment.
  • Experience with operation and maintenance procedures on diesel power generation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, to include integration and checkout.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Familiarity working in depot and field type environments.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience working on power generation equipment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
