Requirements

  • Professional sales experience or related transferrable skills
  • Strong communication skills with customers, coworkers, and leadership
  • Knowledge and understanding of outdoor power equipment (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Ability to confidently demonstrate equipment operation and features
  • Customer-focused mindset with a helpful and positive attitude
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers personally and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance on the sales floor
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with product questions and availability
  • Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate equipment
  • Demonstrate equipment features and proper operation to customers
  • Schedule deliveries for newly purchased equipment
  • Assist with credit approval processes for new equipment purchases
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready sales floor and equipment displays
  • Create and maintain signage for equipment
  • Participate in home shows and promotional events as needed
  • Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Collaborate with team members and management to ensure department success
