For the Power Equipment Driver, this means representing Adams professionally while traveling to customers’ homes to pick up and deliver large power equipment for service and repair. You are responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading equipment and communicating clearly with customers and store teams. This role plays an important part in delivering a positive customer experience while supporting Adams’ commitment to quality, service, and community.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old along with following Adams rules and driving policies
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to efficiently plan delivery and pickup routes.
  • Familiarity with Power Equipment parts and components of engines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills when working with customers, management, and teams.
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions, schedules, and documentation.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Maintain valid drivers license
  • Forklift certification
  • Good driving record
  • Pass all required drug tests

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery and pickup routes to ensure deliveries are executed safely and on time.
  • Test machines prior to delivery to ensure proper working condition.
  • Call customers prior to delivery or pickup to confirm timing when requested.
  • Maintain regular communication with Power Equipment General Manager and Service Manager.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicles.
  • Must be proficient in safely backing up and maneuvering a truck and trailer in a variety of environments, including customer locations and store sites.
  • Represent Adams professionally and provide outstanding customer service by being personable and friendly to customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
  • Keep a cell phone accessible during work hours for store communication.
  • Maintain valid drivers license, forklift certification, good driving record, and pass all required drug tests.
