About The Position

As a Power Engineer, a typical day might include the following: Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control the power system. Assist in developing product specifications, develop and analyze functional tests. Assist with application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets. Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers. Assist in innovating power system protection solutions. Author technical papers to present at technical meetings and conferences. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. This job might be for you if: You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. You have 5+ years' experience in electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies. You have experience working in industrial and distribution power systems, and the ability to communicate those experiences. You have working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay application at an electrical utility or industrial plant. Pay Range Data: Lead Power Engineer $115,290 - $170,349 Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
