Responsibilities include contractor oversight, transformer maintenance strategy development, and creation and ownership of budgets and forecasts. Serve as the technical authority and subject matter expert for site electrical power distribution systems, offering advanced guidance on complex maintenance, commissioning, and decommissioning activities to support reliability and production objectives. In this role, you lead the resolution of high‑risk, high‑complexity electrical issues, applying engineering judgment and best practices to mitigate operational, safety, and reliability risks while overseeing contractors and line crews. As a Power Distribution Specialist II, you develop, implement, and govern transformer maintenance strategies and long‑term asset management plans, owning budgets, forecasts, and long‑range planning for power distribution systems. You will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external stakeholders (APS, County Governments, municipalities, etc.) to align power distribution strategies with production plans and reliability goals while mentoring engineers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to support capability development and knowledge transfer across the organization. You will establish and maintain technical standards, procedures, and best practices, providing technical review and oversight for electrical studies, maintenance plans, contractor work scopes, and system modifications. You ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards, reinforcing a strong safety culture, and perform other duties as assigned.
