About The Position

At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role - Maintenance Power Group Leader - 2nd Shift Rate is $43.57 (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies). Group Leader is responsible for overseeing and directing the crew performing trouble shooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment. Responsible for operation preventative maintenance, rebuild, repair/troubleshooting and PM plan revision of all plant utility equipment, including calibration of instruments.  The utility systems include ammonia refrigeration, glycol, steam generation and point-of-use, water systems, air compressors and power distribution. At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures. Responsible for providing direction to the crew and equipment in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsible for the installation of new or used equipment. Responsible for repairs of building and all plant equipment. Responsible to promptly respond to any equipment break downs or downtime when applicable. Responsible to assist in shift coverage when applicable. Responsible for welding repairs to plant equipment. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment. Perform any other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. Operate all plant utility systems listed above and support all production processes as required Rebuild/overhaul equipment to Leprino specs and standards. Promptly respond to equipment failures or downtime. Execute preventative and predictive maintenance actions on utilities equipment. HAZMAT Incident commander and responder Troubleshoot and repair all utilities equipment Calibrate instruments and devices Utilize alignment tools for the execution of PM's and installations Work with vendors and engineers on improvement, optimization and expansion projects Work in a team-based environment with shared responsibility across shifts for the upkeep and operation of the plant utility systems Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating utility equipment (Boilers, refrigeration)
  • Ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings
  • Demonstrated skills in electrical, welding, and mechanical troubleshooting utilizing diagnostic tools such as Fluke Multi-meter, Loop Calibrator and alignment and run-out tools
  • Ability to prioritize work based on multiple inputs; manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to train & lead other technicians on operation and maintenance of equipment; work independently with minimal direction.
  • A personal commitment to safety, quality and ethics.
  • Must be able to fulfill physical functional requirements of position.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and computer literacy skills.
  • Ramsey Assessment required.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability. Lead by Example.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety. Knowledge of GMPs.
  • Must be able to fulfill physical functional requirements of position per ADA
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy.
