About The Position

This is an enterprise-level position at Raleigh Radiology in Raleigh, NC, supporting all entities and free-standing outpatient imaging centers. The Power BI Analyst plays a critical role in transforming clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insights through advanced analytics, Power BI development, and executive-level reporting. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, IT, and clinical leadership to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and strategic initiatives. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Power BI Analyst is responsible for end-to-end data analysis, dashboard development, and presentation of insights across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, the ability to manipulate and model complex healthcare datasets, and the capability to translate analysis into clear executive-ready PowerPoint presentations. The analyst will also support clinical audits, regulatory reporting, and ad-hoc analytical requests from radiologists, hospitals, and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role, preferably in healthcare or radiology.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint for executive reporting.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical metrics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including RIS, PACS, billing systems, and operational databases.
  • Perform ad-hoc and recurring analyses related to volumes, turnaround times (TATs), service level agreements (SLAs), RVUs, productivity, staffing, and modality mix.
  • Identify trends, outliers, and performance gaps and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Conduct clinical and operational audits in support of Joint Commission requirements, peer review programs, and hospital partner requests.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and defensibility of reported data.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, concise executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
  • Develop recurring and ad-hoc presentation materials for senior leadership, hospital partners, and board-level discussions.
  • Clearly communicate complex data stories to non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, radiologists, and hospital leadership to understand data needs and define reporting requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between technical data sources and business users.
  • Support leadership with data-driven insights for strategic planning and operational improvement.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of data sources, reports, and dashboards.
  • Document data definitions, logic, and assumptions used in analysis.
  • Stay current on best practices in healthcare analytics, Power BI, and data visualization.
