About The Position

Responsible for blending raw materials according to specified formulas and procedures in a manufacturing environment. This role involves meticulous adherence to blending instructions, accurate logging of lot numbers for traceability, and proper preparation of materials and the blending area. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and quality assurance, including recognizing and reporting any safety issues. The Powder Blender will also be responsible for weighing and precisely blending chemicals based on established guidelines, working both independently and collaboratively as a team player. Equipment maintenance, including troubleshooting and preventive care, is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

Ability to focus and stay on task
Basic math skills
Capability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift
Adaptability to change
Willingness to wear safety equipment, including safety glasses, steel toe boots, respirator, and dust mask
Ability to pass the respirator fit test
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-2 years of manufacturing blending experience

Responsibilities

Read and meticulously follow instructions provided on the blending sheet
Log lot numbers accurately to maintain traceability
Identify the correct raw materials required for the blend
Retrieve the necessary items and prepare the blending area
Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure safety, integrity, and product quality
Promptly recognize and report any safety issues related to products or equipment
Weigh raw materials according to production orders
Blend chemicals precisely based on established guidelines
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Foster good work habits and consistently follow established processes
Keep blending equipment operational by following operating instructions
Troubleshoot breakdowns of blending equipment
Maintain supplies for blending equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on blending equipment
Request repairs for blending equipment when needed
Be a team player with strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Exhibit punctuality and regular attendance as per company policy
