About The Position

The Poultry Science Technician will collaborate with veterinarians, hatcheries, farms, and internal teams to assess poultry treatments and processes, promote bird welfare, and identify opportunities for innovation. This position will support Regional Business Managers and Account Managers by evaluating treatments and training team members and customers on best practices. Additionally, the Poultry Science Technician will assist research and development teams as needed, develop a global network to identify market challenges, and represent Nova-Tech at industry seminars and tradeshows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting to large groups and building relationships across the poultry industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the poultry industry domestically and globally, including bird testing, observation, and data-driven decision making.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, train, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable presenting to large audiences at seminars, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures and build strong relationships with customers and partners globally.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of stewardship with our customers and partners.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple demands, and maintain attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with CRM and project management tools experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally; valid driver’s license and passport required.

Responsibilities

  • Gain perspective from U.S.-based veterinarians on Nova-Tech Poultry processes and future opportunities.
  • Assess treatments and processes to promote “best for the bird.”
  • Provide training to internal team members and customers on best practices for poultry health and welfare.
  • Support regional business managers and account managers through technical expertise and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Assist research and development teams with projects and testing as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a global network to collaborate with industry professionals and identify emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Travel regularly to hatcheries and farms domestically and occasionally internationally to collaborate and understand market challenges.
  • Attend industry seminars and tradeshows regularly; represent Nova-Tech and present to large groups as needed.
  • Create detailed reports summarizing findings for internal and customer leadership.
  • Work with Nova-Tech Poultry leadership to identify solutions and innovations while supporting Nova-Tech Engineering’s mission, vision, and values.
