About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Pot Washer is to perform a variety of janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Working knowledge of all cleaning equipment and proper chemical usage
Excellent customer service skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
A highly motivated and energetic personality.
Ability to operate dish machine
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Nevada Food Handlers’ Certification
Union Referral
Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment

Responsibilities

Set-up and operate 3 compartment sinks
Clean kettles and tilt skillets.
Clean/Sanitize, sort, and store pots/pans/sheet pans in their proper locations on the shelves
Receives soiled dinnerware, flatware, and glassware, placing items according to size and likeness on automatic dishwashing conveyor belt
Removes washed dinnerware, flatware, and glassware from automatic dishwasher and stacks them according to size and likeness for future use
Returns items not satisfactorily cleaned for a second wash
Scrubs walls and trash cans
Breakdown, load, unload, catches, and properly sort all dishes, glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area.
Wash baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards
Sweep and mop all floors, coolers, freezers and wash all floor mats
Transport garbage from kitchen areas to trash room
Polish silver, copper and brass in all areas as needed
Perform all other job-related duties as requested
