The Human Interaction (HI) Lab in the Department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education at Utah State University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Scientist (Postdoctoral Fellow I) to join our team. The overarching goal of the HI Lab is to improve communication for people with neurological speech disorders: https://www.humaninteractionlab.com/ . The Postdoc will be involved in projects studying communication partner training and interaction behaviors in the conversations of people with Parkinson’s disease. This is a highly transdisciplinary line of research, and the successful candidate will work with a research team that includes experts in communication, speech pathology, statistics, and speech signal processing. The Postdoc will play a key role in managing day-to-day project needs related to recruitment, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of results. This is a 24-month position (with the opportunity to extend) and will be primarily supervised by Dr. Stephanie Borrie but will involve mentorship and collaboration from Dr. Tyson Barrett and other members of the HI project teams.
