Postdoctoral Scholar - Conklin Lab
About The Position
Postdoctoral scholar position in the Conklin lab (www.ConklinLab.org), at the Gladstone Institutes, focused on therapeutic gene editing motor neuron disease. Available projects employ extensive use of iPSC-derived tissues for disease modeling, as well as potential animal models. These projects are funded by the NIH, disease groups as well as the Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI). This is a close collaboration with Jennifer Doudna and multiple Gladstone and UCSF labs (see links below). A strong background in molecular biology and cell culture are required. Novel genome engineering methods will be employed and there are significant opportunities for high profile publications. Since our projects began recently, most of what we are doing is not yet published.
