About The Position

The newly established “Synuclein Interest Group” at the Byrd Alzheimer’s Center and Research Institute is inviting applications from recent neurobiology graduates for a fully funded postdoctoral research fellow position. This exciting role offers the opportunity to study the pathophysiology of alpha-synuclein, with an emphasis on defining its normal biology and understanding how its physiological functions are disrupted in diseased states.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuroscience and will work with newly developed alpha-synuclein knock-in mouse models. This research program addresses fundamental mechanisms relevant to Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia and offers a collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art resources at USF, Tampa.
Only applicants with demonstrated expertise and a strong publication record in neuroscience will be considered.
