The laboratory focuses on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative diseases, therapeutics, and stem cell technologies. Studies will focus on neurovascular and related changes in AD using transgenic mouse models with genetic AD risk factors such as PICALM and APOE, and/or models of neurovascular conditions. Studies will include a combination of in vivo and tissue analysis techniques using mouse tissues, including tissue staining and imaging, viral vector delivery, and the opportunity to develop transcriptomics and proteomics assays to study the effects of AD risk genes. The ideal candidate should have experience with several of these techniques. Some experience with molecular biology and analysis, and in vitro cell culture assays is a plus. The Scholar will work under supervision of the Principal Investigator, and will closely collaborate with other scientists and lab members. The annual base salary range for this position is $70,304.04 - $70,305.
