About The Position

The Department of Genetics, Genomics, and Informatics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar. This position involves rodent handling and in vitro cell-based assays. It requires knowledge of rodent colony management and behavior, preparation of primary cell cultures, knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques, and a background in statistical analysis, and familiarity with statistical packages (e.g., JMP, Prism, R, or Python.) The position involves working independently and supervising graduate students and technical staff. It will require the ability to analyze and summarize results and present research findings in the form of weekly lab meetings, scientific conference posters and presentations, and manuscript preparation.
