About The Position
The Postdoctoral Research Associate advances research in mathematical modeling, optimization, and stochastic analysis for large-scale and distributed systems. The role focuses on developing and analyzing algorithms, building reproducible computational studies, and disseminating results in leading venues. The position collaborates with faculty, students, and external partners to translate rigorous methods into practical tools.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field by start date.
- Demonstrated expertise in optimization (e.g., convex/nonconvex, stochastic, combinatorial), probability and stochastic processes, numerical linear algebra, and algorithm design.
- Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB; familiarity with numerical optimization libraries and scientific computing.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
