Postdoctoral Research Associate
About The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work in the Department of Construction Science at Texas A&M University. This position supports an NSF-funded research project focused on the development, validation, and evaluation of AI-enabled learning and decision-support systems in construction engineering and management. The postdoctoral research associate will lead experimental design, data collection, and quantitative analysis to evaluate system performance and human learning and decision-making outcomes. The position involves close collaboration with the PI, graduate students, and industry partners. Salary : Starting salary is $50,000/annually. Position Details: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future. Other Requirements and Factors: Candidates will need to have completed their PhD by the start of employment. This Postdoctoral Research Associate position will require approximately 100% effort dedicated to research activities, with an anticipated duration of one year, contingent upon project funding and performance.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Construction Engineering/Management or Civil Engineering.
- Experience with experimental design and quantitative data analysis in Construction of Civil Engineering.
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences.
- Strong statistical and data analysis skills.
- Ability to design and execute rigorous empirical studies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Design and execute planned experiments.
- Publish research results in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Assist in developing new research proposals.
