This is a grant-funded position with a current limit of 2 years 9 months with progress reviewed after one year. Investigate parameters of stellar structure and evolution to improve the match between models and observations, particularly related to asteroseismology, using evolutionary models, expected to be MESA and GYRE. The successful candidate is also expected to disseminate results in appropriate journals and conferences and supervise undergraduate students in project-related research. It is expected that the Postdoctoral Research Associate is a specialist with experience in the physics of stellar structure pertaining to hot compact (subdwarf B) stars and will receive additional on-the-job training as needed for other required activities (e.g., supervising students and possibly outreach and teaching activities) The candidate will also include and advise undergraduate research projects related to the grant and should be available to participate in outreach activities. This position will include travel to multiple national and international meetings/conferences.
