About The Position

Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, optics, or photonics.
  • Applicants should have a proven record of research in the corresponding area and strong publications.
  • Excellent scientific writing ability and good communication skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise with nonlinear optics, plasma physics, and ultrafast lasers.
  • Knowledge of scientific programming language(s) and computer simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental research in quantum optics, focusing on excimer lasers for laser inertial fusion energy.
  • Possess expertise in nonlinear optics, plasma physics, and ultrafast lasers.
  • Contribute to IQSE projects on quantum heat engines, quantum gravity, and entanglement.
  • Write scientific papers, present at conferences, and prepare presentations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor graduate students.
  • Assist with hosting Institute visitors and supporting IQSE-sponsored activities.
