About The Position

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at WashU in St. Louis, to work on department-funded research projects investigating well-being in daily life and across the lifespan. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research in the Wellbeing and Emotion across the Lifespan Lab (WELLab) under the supervision of Dr. Emily Willroth. The position will include analyzing data and preparing manuscripts from at least two recently collected datasets. These datasets include an ecological momentary assessment study of daily well-being processes in a lifespan sample of St. Louis community adults and survey data collected from the longitudinal St. Louis Personality and Aging Network (SPAN) study. In addition, the Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to and co-organize community-building activities related to affective science.

Requirements

  • Ph.D., M.D. Or Equivalent Terminal Or Doctoral Degree.
  • No specific certification/professional license is required for this position.
  • No specific work experience is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D (or about to be awarded one) in Psychology or related fields.
  • Experience analyzing data in R.
  • Experience analyzing experience sampling or other intensive longitudinal data.
  • Experience conducting research within the field of well-being science or affective science.
  • Excellent data analytic skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a time and independently, and take initiative.
