About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Iowa State University is offering one immediate postdoc research associate position. The selected candidate will be actively involved in projects on optimization, data analytics, and control in power distribution systems. The selected candidate will work very closely with partners from utility companies and national labs, and use real utility data and models to address practical problems.

Requirements

PhD in Electrical Engineering

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience and documented research achievements in power distribution systems, optimization, data analytics, and/or control systems
Evidence of an outstanding academic track record with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to contribute to complex research projects requiring creativity, initiative, and independent thinking
Strong English communication skills, with the ability to contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts and technical presentations for peer‑reviewed journals and international conferences

Responsibilities
