Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: This position will lead a new research collaboration with Ames Lab focused on studying the mechanisms of biomass degradation using multimodal imaging techniques. This position will specifically focus on the use of single-walled carbon nanotubes to assist in measuring biomass. They will work with other graduate students to measure biomass degradation using custom single-molecule imaging techniques and surface probe microscopy.
