About The Position

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION FUNDED. JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Department of Pediatrics Behavioral Health at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Pediatric Psychology Scholar. This position receives advanced training in clinical service, research, and professional development within Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. This one-year fellowship emphasizes evidence-based interventions, psychological assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and preparation for licensure and board certification Responsibilities Provides psychological assessment and therapy for children and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings. Delivers evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, family therapy) for medical and behavioral health concerns. Co-lead and lead support groups for parents of inpatients. Consults with multidisciplinary teams regarding psychosocial aspects of care. Participates in research activities, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Contributes to scholarly products (e.g., conference presentations, manuscripts). Attends didactic seminars and supervision sessions. Engages in teaching and supervision of interns or practicum students. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD).
  • Completion of an APA or CPA-accredited doctoral program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology.
  • Completion of an APA/CPA-approved internship.
  • Foundational training in child and pediatric psychology, including evidence-based interventions for children and families.
  • Eligible for provisional licensure in Tennessee prior to starting date.
