The Schwartz lab studies the role of the gut microbiome and immune response in susceptibility to neonatal sepsis. We use a combination of sequencing, microbial culturing, immune profiling, and gnotobiotic mouse models to create predictions for which infants are most susceptible to sepsis. We are looking for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team. Postdoctoral work will include immune and microbiome analysis from gnotobiotic mouse experiments. Information on being a postdoc at WashU in St. Louis can be found at https://postdoc.wustl.edu/prospective-postdocs-2/.
