About The Position

The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Latin American Studies. The fellow will support LLILAS’s academic programs and contribute to LLILAS’s interdisciplinary mission by contributing to and helping develop LLILAS research and teaching initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, awarded no more than three years prior to the start date.
  • Research agenda focused on Latin America or the Caribbean.
  • Demonstration of potential for scholarly productivity and excellence in teaching.

  • Evidence of collaborative academic work.
  • Record of independent scholarly research.
  • Teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute research initiatives while actively engaging with LLILAS’s interdisciplinary intellectual community.
  • Help support LLILAS curricular needs by contributing to core seminars or proseminars.
  • Provide academic and professional support to LLILAS students.
  • Participate in LLILAS co-curricular programming: workshops, lecture series, working groups, and other academic events.
