The Brown Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead projects aimed at developing myeloid cell targeted therapies for cancer treatment. The candidate should have a background in immunology and gene engineering, and experience in developing and testing cancer treatments. Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: To advance the application of macrophage-targeted CAR T cells To develop improved ways to arm CAR T cells to remodel the tumor microenvironment To develop technologies to spatially localize remodeling factors in the tumor microenvironment Technical Duties: (include any protocols) Perform independent research in the area of cancer therapy, this will include molecular cloning, vector production, cell isolation, and testing in vivo in preclinical models of different cancers. Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research
