About The Position

Under the direction of Dr. Fabrisia Ambrosio at Harvard Medical School & Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, the post-doctoral fellow will lead a multidisciplinary project mechanistically investigating the systems-level mechanisms that drive age-related musculoskeletal decline and impaired tissue regeneration. We use a combination of multi-omics profiling, network medicine approaches, and in vivo models of musculoskeletal aging to understand how molecular and cellular changes across tissues contribute to diseases such as osteoarthritis. Our long-term goal is to develop targeted, mechanism-based strategies to enhance musculoskeletal health and functional recovery in aging populations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular or systems biology, mechanobiology, aging, or musculoskeletal science, and a passion for translational research. Individuals with experience in analyzing transcriptomic or proteomic data, or in using computational models to study tissue crosstalk are particularly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Synthetic Biology or related field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the English language strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed.
  • Willingness to contribute as a member of a team and support other projects as needed.
  • Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in mechanobiology and 3D cell culture is desirable.
  • Individuals with experience in analyzing transcriptomic or proteomic data, or in using computational models to study tissue crosstalk are particularly encouraged to apply.
