About The Position

You will participate in the research study which focuses astrocyte-immune cell interactions in CNS autoimmune disease. Your responsibilities in this research are: 1) Design and conduct experiments on a core project in the laboratory investigating how astrocytes and immune cells signal to one another and modulate function in the context of CNS inflammation and neurodegeneration. 2) Assist in figure and manuscript preparations 3) Contribute writing samples and data to grant proposals, mentor graduate and medical students in the laboratory 4) Assume responsibilities for basic laboratory and mouse colony maintenance pertinent to above scientific project 5) Participate in regular laboratory meetings
