Multiple fully funded positions for post-doctoral fellows are currently available in the Erb laboratory (Department of Chemistry, The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA). Our chemical biology group uses discovery chemistry, CRISPR/Cas9-based functional genetic screens, and advanced transcriptional genomics approaches to discover and study drug-like small molecules that therapeutically modulate chromatin regulation and mRNA transcription (see: https://www.erblab.scripps.edu/publications ). We are seeking to hire multiple post-doctoral fellows to lead projects in ligand discovery, chromatin regulation, and cancer biology. Successful candidates will have laboratory experience in biology, chemistry, or computer science and be committed to working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary group with the goal of advancing new chemical tools, genetic insights, and therapeutic hypotheses. Postdoctoral Associates are appointed positions for the purpose of developing scholarly competence, working under the supervision of a Scripps Research Faculty member. These appointments are normally not renewed beyond a total of five years. Postdoctoral Associates cannot apply for external funding either as a Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator without prior approval from a Departmental Chair. Postdoctoral Associates do not have consulting privileges. Make Scripps Research your next step to advance your research training.
