The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Peng Zhang in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The incumbent will conduct research within the predetermined research scope and methodology, and conduct research in the fields of quantum-engineered power grids and AI-enabled smart grids. â Develop deployable quantum and AI technologies for reliable and secure power systems. â Deliver quantum electromagnetic transient programs and integrate them with specific platforms. â Develop formal verification algorithms and prototypes on large microgrids, Naval systems, and utility systems. â Assist grant proposal writing, work collaboratively with industry and government, and mentor graduate students in strategic areas. â Collect, analyze and maintain data in the relevant fields. â Participate in manuscript writing for publication in top journals; collaborate with the PI on new monographs. â Other duties as assigned, which may include lab/testbed maintenance, organizing and attending meetings, presenting results in major conferences and workshops.
