The laboratory of Dr. Charles Dela Cruz and Dr. Lokesh Sharma, in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Associate. The Candidate will study the host- viral pathogen biology of lung injury. The Postdoctoral candidates with solid knowledge and strong skills in cell biology, and molecular biology are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will hold a PhD in microbiology, immunology or a closely related field is required. A successful applicant will have excellent general analytic skills and written communication skills. The work will be a mix of wet bench work and an extensive amount of analytic work of a complex data set including immunophenotyping with flow cytometry and multi-omics platform. On site work in the lab will be required 5 days per week for most of the funding period. Prior experience in ONE of the following content areas is preferred: 1) Host-pathogen interaction 2) Lung injury and repair 3) Lung Immunology Our lab is committed to the career development of our lab members, and in training basic and translational scientists.
