The Division of Medical Genetics a post-doctoral associate to join their team in the Department of Pediatrics. The post doc’s research projects will focus on inherited metabolic disorders, specifically lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs) and glycogen storage diseases (GSDs). We have an ongoing observational natural history study to better understand the role of immune modulation as standard of care in patients with severe phenotypes and for evaluation of immune phenotyping and treatment response in children who are diagnosed with Pompe disease via newborn screening. In addition, the postdoc will contribute to ongoing investigations to reclassify variants of uncertain significance associated with LSDs and GSDs. This post doc will collaborate with different research team members on other research projects and will use the clinical and bench knowledge to advance the science in GSDs. This post doc position requires a minimum two-year commitment and will be primarily in person with opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement. This position will involve bench work as well as analyzing patient data and coordinating analysis of patient samples
