About The Position

The Broad Institute is a world-leading non-profit research organization dedicated to realizing the promise of the post-genomic era for human benefit. Located in Cambridge, MA with strong ties to MIT, Harvard, and world class Boston hospitals, the Broad Institute brings together scientists of diverse backgrounds to solve critical problems in biology and medicine in an interdisciplinary manner. The Proteomics Group (www.broadinstitute.org/proteomics) of the Broad Institute has an outstanding track-record in training the next generation of research scientists and in developing and applying proteomic technologies critical to address important questions in biology and medicine. We collaborate with top-level researchers throughout the world, and results of these studies and our technology developments allow us to help to address important biological questions. The Proteomics group at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and The Wu Lab of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is looking for a joint, highly motivated postdoctoral associate to develop and apply state-of-the art immunopeptidomics technology and innovative computational approaches to address compelling questions in cancer immunology and autoimmunity. The specific research areas of immediate interest that this scientist could drive include: Improve understanding of immune biology and help develop personalized cancer immunotherapies using mass spectrometry based immunopeptidomics. Develop next generation immunopeptidome profiling assays and data analysis tools. Develop and optimize new proteomic technologies to improve the identification of tumor specific antigens using both in vitro systems and primary patient samples. Working closely with computational biologists and immunologists in a highly matrixed environment to apply immunopeptidomics technology to help answer questions about antigen presentation in cancer and autoimmunity.

Requirements
