About The Position

BioMedical Research (BR) is the innovation engine of Novartis, collaborating across scientific and organizational boundaries with a focus on powerful new technologies to produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients. The BR Postbaccalaureate program offers an opportunity for interns to conduct an independent research project under the mentorship of a Novartis research scientist. This position is located onsite in Cambridge, MA, and is designed to help interns position themselves for top-tier graduate/professional training programs.

Requirements

• Have graduated from a US academic institution within 1 year of application
• Have a GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
• Have a strong desire to pursue a graduate-level degree
• Are authorized to work in the US for any employer

Responsibilities

• Attend on-boarding and training sessions
• Plan, design and execute an independent research project as agreed upon by your Novartis scientist mentor(s)
• Attend Postbaccalaureate Intern professional development sessions
• Attend graduate school classes and/or seminars determined necessary to position you for a top tier graduate/professional training program
• Present your research project at a program poster session or conference
• Adhere to all Novartis policies
