About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics is currently recruiting for a Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Developmental- Behavioral Pediatrics. The primary responsibilities during the fellowship will include: a) provision of clinical services in the Division of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics (e.g., autism spectrum disorder evaluation, psychoeducational evaluation, and/or infant/toddler evaluation) and b) participation in autism-related research. Instruction of medical students in the College of Medicine (COM) Year One Fundamentals of Patient Care (FPC) Course may also be available. Attendance at the division bi-monthly didactics and relevant grand rounds in Psychiatry and Pediatrics also will be expected. Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in Psychology.
  • Ability to perform job functions in an upright position.

  • Ability to push/pull objects, up to 15 lbs., unassisted.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15 lbs. a distance of five (5) floors and to outlying buildings.
  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected.
  • Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand.
  • Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance.
  • Ability to match or discriminate between colors.
  • Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
  • Good peripheral vision capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
  • Ability to be qualified physically (by medical personnel) for respirator use, initially and annually.
  • Ability to work alone in isolated areas, such as darkrooms.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers license.

  • Ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required.
