You will be expected to make significant contributions to 2 projects. Project 1 will be in the Kohan Lab, where you will conduct the analysis of scRNAseq datasets from atherosclerotic mouse models (enriched in CD4+ T cells), the write-up of a manuscript coming from this data set and existing experimental work, and the development of new experiments to test novel hypotheses in this area. Project 2 will be driven by the Das Lab and will involve coupling interpretable machine learning (area of growth/training) to mechanistic modeling (area of your current expertise) in the context of analyzing high-dimensional multi-omic responses. These projects are collaborative between the Das and Kohan Labs, and they will utilize your existing skills and develop your skills in the Das/Kohan areas of expertise. Each project is independent but highly overlapping. You will be expected to spend at least 4 days each week in person in the lab (split between the Das and Kohan labs in whatever way best supports your work), and you can work remotely 1 day a week. It is anticipated that you will be actively involved in manuscript and grant writing, since this is beneficial for your own career development and for the lab.
