About The Position

The Fani Laboratory at Emory University is actively seeking a Post-doctoral Fellow. This role is designed for individuals with expertise in clinical neuroscience research methods, specifically including functional and/or structural MRI, neuromodulation, and the collection and analysis of behavioral and clinical data. The ideal candidate will not only contribute to ongoing projects within the lab but also be encouraged to pursue their own research questions. Key responsibilities involve assisting with the acquisition and analysis of neuromodulation, neuroimaging, and psychophysiology data. The fellow will also play a role in supervising trainees within the laboratory and collaborating with the PI, collaborators, and research staff to disseminate research findings through manuscripts and presentations. The position offers a unique opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team comprising clinical psychologists, basic neuroscientists, and biomedical imaging experts. Fellows will have access to cutting-edge neuroimaging facilities at Emory's Center for Systems Imaging and the Center for Advanced Brain Imaging. For those with a clinical background, there is an invaluable opportunity to accrue clinical hours towards licensure under the supervision of the lab PI, Dr. Negar Fani, and to participate in Emory's clinical post-doctoral fellowship seminar. Dr. Fani is committed to supporting trainees from diverse backgrounds. This is a temporary research trainee appointment, initially for one year, with renewals contingent on satisfactory progress and funding availability, not exceeding five years. The role is performed in-person at an Emory University location, with no remote work option.
