Post-doctoral fellow position available to study role of modulators of T-type (low-voltage-activated) calcium channels in native tissue preparations and in recombinant cells. Our research involves biophysical techniques to measure membrane currents (whole-cell voltage-clamp and current-clamp recordings) from the human embryonic kidney (HEK) cells, dorsal root ganglion neurons and dorsal horn neurons in wild-type rats and mice, as well as mice lacking subtypes of T-type calcium channels.
