About The Position

We seek candidates with a fresh PhD or a fresh MS degree to apply bioinformatics skills to decode tRNA modifications in cancers and in neurodegeneration diseases. This candidate should also have basic molecular biology skills and be able to use CRISPR techniques. tRNA modifications are the exciting frontier in the central dogma of genetic information transfer from DNA to RNA to protein, where tRNAs are the adaptors and the modifications in tRNAs control the adaptor activity.

Requirements

  • a fresh PhD or a fresh MS degree
  • Commitment: at least 3 years
  • bioinformatics skills
  • basic molecular biology skills
  • CRISPR techniques

Responsibilities

  • Use bioinformatics to analyze genome-wide sequencing data
  • Use molecular biology skills to use CRISPR techniques to generate genetic deletion in human cell lines
  • Use molecular biology skills to analyze RNA samples and other nucleic acid samples
