About the Role: As a Post Award Grants Specialist, you will be trusted to provide Post Award administrative support for a large discretionary grant program. You will support our Federal government client in post-award grants administration, including records management, grant monitoring and close-out in compliance with a variety of Uniform Administrative Requirements; and other Federal, State, and local requirements. You will work with the Post Award Lead to provide administrative support to the government’s Federal Program Officers (FPOs) necessary for risk-based oversight and technical assistance program across multiple Notice Of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of grants administration or project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal or state grants management
  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance
  • Ability to be flexible and maintain professionalism while balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and supervisor and/or client direction/feedback
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Responsibilities

  • Assist FPOs preparing for quarterly conference calls, site visits, desk reviews, and close-out, in accordance with program SOPs.
  • Provide support to FPOs in monitoring recipients' performance and oversight of grants.
  • Support the FPO’s review of grant recipient compliance with program and federal regulations identified through ongoing monitoring of activities and issues and tracking progress, including support in SharePoint.
  • Support FPOs in the initial review of semi-annual reports submitted by recipients to validate data consistency, identify missing or incomplete sections; collaborate with the Financial Assistance Agreements Management Office related to report review.
  • Support FPOs in preparing materials to allow for drafting recommendations in response to audits (e.g., OIG, GAO) received during the period of performance.
  • Work with the FPOs to develop internal and external management reports based on leadership requirements.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a central database in SharePoint that captures grant recipient information and key award information for multiple NOFOs.
  • Support FPO in preparing for grantee orientations and project management conferences to communicate administrative requirements.
  • Assist Post Award Grants Management Lead in developing/updating existing post-award program policies and guidance for grant recipients, including handbooks, fact sheets, and other compliance material across multiple NOFOs.
  • Assist Post Award Grants Management Lead in developing/updating existing internal staff handbooks, procedures, and policies including guidance on program-level monitoring plans, risk assessment guides, site visit plans, and other procedural guides across multiple NOFOs.
  • Provide program evaluation assistance by collecting evaluation data based on specific metrics to support curing of semi-annual reports and program impact, and inserting this data based on review with FPOs in collaboration with the Program Evaluator.
