Relative Dynamics Inc. is seeking to hire a Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Test and Verification Analyst to support PNT system analysis and PNT flight software design, development, and testing. What You'll Get to Do: Analyze, develop, test and document algorithms for onboard orbit determination and clock estimation Develop, test and document error models for GNSS, ground-based range and Doppler optical navigation measurements Develop and maintain error budgets Develop, test and document dynamics models and Kalman filter design and tuning for cislunar orbits Perform sensitivity analyses for design trade space evaluation, requirements definition and validation Perform Monte Carlo analyses and document results for performance verification Perform research and development for new technologies and concepts for cislunar PNT Write conference papers and journal articles What You'll Need: MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred Experience with spacecraft navigation analysis software such as Mission Analysis Operations and Navigation Toolkit Environment (MONTE), the Goddard Enhanced Onboard Navigation System (GEONS), Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX), Orbit Determination Toolkit (ODTK), or General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT) Experience developing analysis tools in MATLAB or Python Experience developing, testing and documenting measurement error models, such as GNSS, ground-based range and Doppler, and optical navigation measurements Extensive experience developing Kalman Filters Experience in modeling oscillators Experience with two-way time transfer, clock ensembles Experience in optical navigation image processing, and feature detection techniques Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules What You Won't Do: Feel stuck as we offer great opportunities to advance and learn Feel like a number as we're a close-knit bunch and always have each others backs Who You Are: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment A quick learner who is always ready to gain depth of knowledge A reliable worker who knows the importance of showing up when it counts Accept assignments with open cooperative positive and team-oriented attitudes Able to plan and execute plans across teams Effective communicator both written and verbal What You'll Enjoy: Competitive wage and benefits package Medical, dental, vision and life/disability insurance Vacation and paid holidays Tuition reimbursement Great 401k with company match Employee referral program Community involvement investing and giving back to the community Relative Dynamics conducts a comprehensive background check that includes drug testing. Requirements

  • MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with spacecraft navigation analysis software such as Mission Analysis Operations and Navigation Toolkit Environment (MONTE), the Goddard Enhanced Onboard Navigation System (GEONS), Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX), Orbit Determination Toolkit (ODTK), or General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT)
  • Experience developing analysis tools in MATLAB or Python
  • Experience developing, testing and documenting measurement error models, such as GNSS, ground-based range and Doppler, and optical navigation measurements
  • Extensive experience developing Kalman Filters
