About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to support a strategic initiative to build a next‑generation in‑store payment acceptance platform, with a strong focus on card‑present and Android POS solutions. This role suits a highly specialised POS payments expert with deep technical knowledge — ideally someone with a development background — who can bridge business, product, and engineering teams through strong analytical thinking and high‑quality documentation. This is a relocation opportunity for anyone open to relocating to Ireland and is fully onsite in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business / Technical Analyst in Payments, POS terminals, acquiring, or fintech.
  • Strong end‑to‑end knowledge of POS payments, including terminals, acquiring flows, and in‑store payment acceptance
  • Solid technical background, ideally a former developer, capable of translating complex technical designs into clear, testable functional and non-functional requirements
  • Proven ability to define low‑level user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery‑ready requirements.
  • Excellent communicator who works independently, owns decisions, and confidently justifies trade‑offs with stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the product team for POS terminal configuration and application requirements, with a strong emphasis on Android POS.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including user story definition, refinement, prioritisation, and sprint planning
  • Lead end‑to‑end requirements definition for next‑generation in‑store payment solutions
  • Produce and maintain key analysis artefacts including Business Requirements Specifications (BRS) and supporting documentation
  • Facilitate workshops to elicit and validate business, functional, and non‑functional requirements
  • Bridge business, product, engineering, and QA teams to minimise rework and post‑sign‑off clarification
  • Anticipate post‑production impacts, ensuring operational readiness across support, rollout, and client adoption
  • Apply strong Agile/Scrum practices, working effectively with globally distributed delivery teams
  • Proficient with delivery and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
