About The Position

We are looking for a Portfolio Solutions Contract Specialist for Portfolio Solutions and Delegated Authority team supporting the Americas. This will be role based in Alpharetta, Georgia or O’Fallon, Missouri. Your Team Allianz Commercial (AzC) specializes in corporate and specialty insurance for the most complex and challenging risk exposures in more than 200 countries and territories. With a focus on larger international risk portfolios, we offer tailor-made 'All Risks' property damage and business interruption insurance through our Allianz Commercial Property network. Our experience speaks for itself, insuring the majority of Allianz Commercial Fortune 500 companies, managing over 1000 Allianz Commercial property insurance programs, and fielding an underwriting team averaging over 20 years’ experience, backed up a worldwide team of risk consultants and claims specialists. When it comes to underwriting insurance products for well-known famous sports venues, sports/entertainment facilities, major airlines, retail/wholesale companies, banks and manufacturers, we do it all! The Impact You Will Have: As a Portfolio Solutions Contract Specialist at Allianz Commercial NA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and evaluating delegated authority program agreements, including binding authorities, underwriting guidelines, compensation schedules, and profit share agreements. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy of contract language and adherence to governance protocols, safeguarding the interests of the company while aligning business goals with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and corporate governance practices.
  • Proven experience with contract negotiations and vendor/supplier management.
  • Ability to drive tasks independently and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate legal and business implications of delegated authority arrangements.
  • A proactive approach to staying informed about legal developments and industry trends.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain corporate records and contract files efficiently.

  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Providing business-oriented legal support to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating alignment of business goals, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards across delegated authority arrangements.
  • Collaborating with internal legal and compliance departments on contract language and oversight.
  • Assisting in contract negotiations jointly with the responsible Line of Business and Portfolio Solutions teams.
  • Reviewing and providing guidance in the preparation of contracts, agreements, amendments, and change orders for delegated authority arrangements.
  • Ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of contracts and verifying that all contractual clauses are included in documents as appropriate.
  • Managing and monitoring vendor/coverholder performance in relation to contractual agreements.
  • Raising awareness and understanding in the business for legal issues, risks, and mitigation measures, acting as a bridge between functions and the business for handling legal challenges.
  • Maintaining corporate records and contract files, including preparation of status reports and reconciliation with relevant internal departments.
  • Staying up to date with legal developments and industry trends to provide proactive legal support.
  • Developing and maintaining legal templates, contract administration procedures, and team knowledge resources.
  • Assisting in resolving disputes, claims, and settlements related to delegated authority agreements.
  • Conducting legal research to support business actions and decisions related to delegated authorities.
