The Portfolio Credit Risk Lead for Single Family Portfolio & Servicing at Freddie Mac is central to the company's enterprise financial risk oversight. This role involves shaping how Freddie Mac anticipates, measures, and manages Single-Family (SF) credit risk across economic cycles, translating macroeconomic and industry trends to understand SF portfolio performance. As an independent risk leader, the individual will challenge business risk management, enhance risk governance, and apply extensive experience in mortgage loan servicing and related credit risks. The role requires close collaboration with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, and business units to monitor key risk indicators, identify emerging risks, assess new initiatives and policy changes, and evaluate portfolio strategies like loss mitigation and liquidation. The Financial Risk team, part of the Enterprise Risk Division, is responsible for overseeing and challenging the company's critical financial risks, including establishing governance, monitoring risk profiles, reporting on risk appetite, communicating enterprise-wide issues, and providing independent oversight of financial risk management practices.
