About The Position

Analyzes and translates complex technical requirements into architectural blueprints or proofs of concept for one or more information technology products and/or systems. Ensures the quality, scalability, and supportability of business applications. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities Defines, designs, and oversees the systems and applications architecture for current and future technology products and business applications. Understands product vision and business requirements to define product architectures and works with product managers to plan and execute new product releases. Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure products and solutions meet business requirements, are well documented, and have processes in place for ongoing support and maintenance. Develops architecture and design principles to improve product performance, capacity, and scalability. Maintains architectural standards to ensure product development needs align with business objectives. Assists technology teams with issues needing technical expertise and complex systems knowledge. Evaluates new and emerging technologies and developmental methodologies to find faster, cost effective, and more reliable solutions for existing and proposed systems. Provides training and guidance to technology teams. Nature and Scope Solutions require analysis and investigation. Operates with considerable latitude. Situations may have little or no precedent requiring original or new concepts or approaches without guidance from others. Reaches decisions under conditions of uncertainty. Develops or engages/directs others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-departmental considerations are often present.

Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • May require certification.
  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

  • Data Platform Architecture & Strategy Design and maintain the overall data platform architecture integrating Snowflake, AtScale, and dbt components
  • Establish data quality frameworks and monitoring systems
  • Define platform scalability and performance optimization strategies
  • Integration & Data Flow Management Design end-to-end data pipelines connecting source systems to Snowflake via dbt transformations
  • Create monitoring and alerting systems for data pipeline health and performance
  • Design API integrations and data exchange protocols between platforms
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead architectural review sessions and technical decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with data science teams to support ML/AI workload requirements
