(USBAM) is a SEC registered investment adviser that provides investment advisory services to a variety of products, including registered investment companies, private funds, and separately managed accounts. As of September 30, 2025, USBAM manages more than $402 billion in assets across fixed income, OCIO, LGIPS and fund strategies. The Portfolio Analyst role will work within the Portfolio Administration team and play a key role in daily account reconciliation, reporting, and client service support. The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, a strong background in reconciliation as well as excellent analytical, technical and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically four or more years of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • College degree (mathematics/statistics, finance or equivalent field preferred)
  • Understand investment concepts, portfolio accounting, security types, accruals and how transactions affect performance
  • Proficient computer skills, especially MS Excel, MS Word applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members, yet be comfortable running detailed scheduled or ad-hoc reports independently; manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Self-directed with a willingness to learn and follow-through projects to completion
  • Experience with trust and fiduciary systems, operations and investment systems
  • Knowledge of SS&C Sylvan and SS&C PORTIA strongly preferred, prior experience with Clearwater, Bloomberg

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile accounts and cash balances daily; investigate and resolve discrepancies and overdrafts.
  • Complete internal/external client requests, support firm’s RFP processes
  • Conduct ongoing reporting or ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Set up new accounts, process terminations, and handle transfers of assets
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) on account status and performance
  • Work closely with custodians, trade support, portfolio managers, and client service teams to resolve issues and support operations
