Our team is growing: Provide’s Credit team is looking for a bold, compassionate, and focused portfolio analyst to monitor and service an assigned portfolio and support the Credit team. In this role, you will focus on managing portfolio risk, reviewing financial statements, and identifying changes in business performance or risk profile. As a Provide and Fifth Third Bank team member, you will be responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. You will be accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the risk appetites of Provide and Fifth Third Bank, you will be expected to achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, investments, business, data analysis, or related mathematical or quantitative discipline
  • Familiarity with business financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Experience in customer service or customer-facing roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort and confidence on the phone

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) full year of experience in commercial underwriting, portfolio management, or a similar financial analysis position
  • Experience reviewing personal credit reports, business tax returns, personal tax returns, and personal balance sheets

Responsibilities

  • Complete account reviews from the assigned loan portfolio to determine risk profile
  • Oversee the collection of quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Collaborate with internal partners and customers to fluently answer and escalate questions about new financing and/or business opportunities
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders in critical areas, such as documentation preparation, credit services, treasury management, asset management, and credit administration, as it pertains to customers’ needs, products and services offered, and the loan process
